Pancho B. has been making collages, pictures and objects since 1984. He takes photographs and puts together projections from his own images, found images, fragments and texts. Detached from the original context, completely new impressions are created by assembling image material and found objects. Some works are abstract, others profound, but not easily explained. Astonishment, dismay or incomprehension are triggered to the viewer. It is up to him whether the associations are accidental, intentional or void.

The sometimes very complex works allow numerous interpretations. Through intensive observation, new connections open up again and again.
 

Visual references to a twisted reality, abstraction with organic materials, collages with a philosophical approach that seem dadaistic, old photographs, newspaper clippings, erotic and pornographic fragments. The resulting visual language is not only unusual, it presents the viewer with a challenge.

The interplay of light, image and sound can be very impressive for the viewer.

Pancho B was born in Ulm in 1961, studied visual communication in Schwäbisch Gmünd and has been working as a designer, photographer and artist since 1993. He lives and works in Munich and in Chiemgau.
